Our Board of Directors
The Tidal Resilience Foundation is guided by a compassionate and dedicated Board of Directors who bring lived experience, professional expertise, and a shared commitment to supporting grieving children and families. Each member plays a vital role in shaping our programs, strengthening our community partnerships, and ensuring that Tidal Resilience continues to grow with intention and heart. Their leadership helps us stay grounded in our mission while building the waves of hope, connection, and resilience that carry our work forward.

Karen Danlovich
Founder
"Nature, community, and connection can help us navigate life’s unsteady tides."

For Karen Danlovich, the ocean has always been more than a landscape - it was her sanctuary. After losing her mother at age nine and her father at 19, Karen found that the rhythm of the
waves provided a space to breathe, move, and rediscover her own steadiness.

The Tidal Resilience Foundation (TRF) was born from that very intersection of personal healing and professional purpose.

Karen brings a wealth of experience to TRF as a career educator and school administrator. Her deep understanding of how children learn and grow informs every aspect of the foundation, from
our Resilience Rides to our specialized curriculum.

Her path to founding TRF also included five years on the sidelines of the NFL. As a member of The ROAR of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Karen saw firsthand how movement and shared expression can unite a community. Today, she weaves those lessons of teamwork and resilience into the fabric of TRF, ensuring every young person discovers the strength that already lives within them.

Based in Crescent Beach, Karen is a believer in the power of shared stories. When she isn’t leading TRF, she is likely enjoying the coast with her husband, her bonus sons, and her faithful hound dog, Snoop.
